I'm working on an essay about my 4th grade spelling bee and doubt as kissing cousin to faith and my being the littlest pharisee in the history of Altruria Elementary School. I'm trying to recall the words to the sunday school song about the Pharisees and Sadducees, and all I can remember are a few words from some sort of bridge: "It's not fair, you see," and something along the lines of "it's sad, you see." Too bad there wasn't a group called the Radisees: "It's so rad, you see?" Anyone have the complete lyrics to this song? I'm desperate.

Posted by: adam at November 13, 2004 03:48 PMwell, not breaking-into-the-sunday-school-room desperate, but it would be nice to have in the next day or so. don't you keep a copy of those lyrics in your wallet?
Posted by: jeremy at November 13, 2004 03:55 PMno, clue about the song (sorry), but have you read the essay in Buechner's Longing for Home about faith/doubt? one of those little twist-of-the-screw types of things for me in my faith journey.
Posted by: kirstin at November 13, 2004 04:54 PMi have kirstin--thanks for mentioning it--and i'll be sure to go back and revisit. the book that was so helpful to me was os guinness' The God in the Dark.
