I would like to essay a roll of film. I would like to develop your photos. Over the next month or two, I'd like to take your photos and write an essay that would fit on the back of the photo. So if you want to be part of the roll, send me one photo, 4"x6". Color or B&W. I prefer not to develop a photo of three people standing side-by-side, in front of a picnic table, smiling. However, I claim to write non-fiction, so I'll deal with what I'm given. So if you a have a photo and want to play, either scan it in and send the file to junkmailforblankets@hotmail.com or mail me a disc with the file on it or mail the actual photo and I'll scan it. What am I forgetting?
p.s. I'm thinking a roll of 24 exposures. There's always that one that's half-black half-photo, so I'm settling on 23.
p.p.s. I'm reserving the right to do a bit of "stylistic" editing where I deem necessary. If you don't like the sound of that plan coming together, let me know and I'll leave yours untouched.

yes, jane--i'm accepting 23 pictures from people, and i'm going to write a back-of-the-photo sized essay for each one.

* thanks for the clarification. it'll be neat to see what is created.

Posted by: emily jane at February 17, 2005 10:12 PMdoes it have to be a photo of our person, or can it be any sky/face/bad attempts we've taken?
Posted by: dorkwad at February 17, 2005 10:47 PMsteph, you can be as bossy as you want to be, if you wanted to be. but i assumed delight.
beloved dorkwad, it can be a photo of anything you want, but knowing you, it's probably wise of me to reserve editing (read: fuzzing out) rights.
Posted by: jeremy at February 17, 2005 11:10 PMI second Emily Jane ("ooh me, ooh me")! We all get to see the finished product, I assume?
