"fail with consequence, lose with eloquence, and smile"

For those of you playing postcard poetry, the postcards went out yesterday. Afraid that some of your poetry might get covered by those little stickers they put at the bottom of postcards, I mailed you the blanks, so you'll have to mail them back in an envelope. Also, I have no money, and postcard stamps are cheaper. I'll e-mail you a mailing address. Note: postcards were chosen at random, so don't look for a hidden message. Some of you will understand the need for this warning.

I've always wanted a job working on soundtracks. Apparently, my twin has beat me to it. One of my 5 favorite songs from the last four years, The Notwist's "Consequence", opens the trailer for shopgirl. As if that weren't enough, enter Explosions in the Sky with "First Breath After Coma," and then DC4C's "Sound of Settling." From the looks of it, this is one of those movies that I shouldn't really watch anymore, but I think if I do it for the sake of supporting my twin-out-there, it might be okay?

Note: Click, above, on "Consequence" to hear. Buy the album Neon Golden. Extra note: many rounds of applause and drinks for Dismarum for hosting .mp3 files for me, which mp3 files will hopefully show up as an .Mp3 of the Week! in the near future. Final note: If you download, consider doing so at off-peak hours to ease bandwidth traffic.

Jeremy, do you think I'd read into the "Jesus Christ Love You" and picture of sappy white Jesus? Or maybe I'd think you were trying to convert me to country music?

I've saved myself a small fortune (kinda) by buying the already-stamped-postcards from the postoffice ($.25)--you have the whole back to write on, and if you write really small, you can squeeze a letter onto a postcard.

i'm so cheap. but it's really enjoyable.

--emily's cent and a half about postcards.

Huh, I have a twin too. He works in finance. or sales. Well, he's worked in both, but he's job hunting now. He'd probably be much better off working on soundtracks.
