sehnsucht

In college, my best friend and I would collect bouncy balls and drive around our small agricultural college town late at night throwing bouncy balls out the window, toward the front of the car, trying to catch them on the rebound. We'd do this for hours. I miss my friend.

San Francisco is my favorite city.

I like strings.

Which is why this makes me cry. The most beautiful commercial I've ever seen. Be sure to watch the high-definition, extended version.

bouncy balls were the coolest thing when i was kid.
and boy do those express so much delight... i want to bounce with them. so much innocence, and joy, and FREEDOM. :D i miss bouncy balls... i think i shall go to the dollar store and buy a big, chewy looking one.

Wow, that commercial is fantastic! My three-year-old and I just sat here and watched the extended version three times in a row. Thanks for sharing something so fun.

Oh my goodess. Thanks for the link. Very proud to show my 19 year old techie son something "cool". He was impressed. That's all I ask for in life. To be able to share something not lame with my kids. Thanks for keeping me 'hip', Jeremy.

i used to have a purple and pink bouncy ball named amanda. when i saw that purple and pink bouncy ball bounce right on the hood of the car, it brought me a little tear. that's just something amanda would have done.

such a great commercial. i love the details.

ps i've just showed it to my coworkers, and it made them so happy. thanks.

On our Fall tour (40 of us in a bus for 10 days) several girls bought super bouncyballs out of vending machines. They became the primary pasttime, in roadside stops and all over Paris. One was smashed into a thousand rubber pieces on a corner of a busy Paris street right before we retreived it. Another was lost forever on the tracks of the subway. One of the guys got escorted out of the building where Napoleon's tomb is up for view, because he had a bouncy ball in his hand and we were talking (just talking) about the bounce quality of the marble that Napoleon's tomb is made out of.

One of the girls told her friends at home about the bouncy ball adventures, and they sent us about 60 bouncy balls in a box. We're looking forward to Spring tour.

That commercial is incredible. I accidentially watched the shorter one first, but I couldn't go back to the extended one because I was already watching in wonder.

There's a theater in town that has this GINORMUS bowl-like chandelier in the lobby. One time a gaggle of my friends and I were waiting in line for our movie to let in when one of them took out a yellow bouncy ball from his pocket and threw it violently to the ground where it rebounded high towards the vaulted ceiling, hit the rim of the chandelier, and traveled back into his hand. This, of course, started a craze. We were able to get the bouncy ball INTO the chandelier and back out again at least 3 times before the security guard started glaring at us.

I try to remember to carry one in my pocket now, whenever I make my way to the movies.

my younger brother he was four once gave me for christmas a superball that he bought with his own fifteen cents wrapped in red paper and a large quantity of scotch brand transparent tape. it was a very difficult gift to unwrap. it was a pretty good christmas.

I showed this to India when you first put it up. She sat on my lap saying, "Wow. Wow, momma."
Today she asked, "Why that guy singing about the balls? Why the balls dancing? Why the balls happy?"

Jeremy, why are the balls dancing?
